This is NOT your average Buick Grand National, it is a Buick Factory GN Police/FBI Package. There were only approximately 400 of these Grand Nationals built by Buick in 1987! Here are some of the tell tail signs: 1. 145MPH Speedometer (which you can see in the pic of the odometer) - Standard GNs have a 85MPH dash and GNXs have Stewart Warner gauges that are circular. Only the police conversions come with the 145MPH dash 2. Both front and rear sway bars are much larger than standard GNs. The bars on the police package are almost 2.5" in diameter. 3. The 124MPH governor that is set in the EPROM was taken out of the police GNs allowing them to run in excess of 140MPH. This car of course does NOT have the 124MPH governor on it. This car handles and performs better than any standard Grand National. This Special GN has 45, 821 actual miles on it as of June 24th, 2013. The car is in great shape and rarely gets driven. My father has owned it since 2005 and has only put 2, 700 miles on it. We have a clear title in hand. NOTE: It does have a salvage title (I have the carfax report for it). It was wrecked by the Jefferson County Police Department (now Louisville Metro Police Department).
